Description
Shem Creek, a quiet waterway leading to Charleston's harbor, was once the idyllic and picturesque home to local shrimpers and their trawlers. Today it is better known for it's restaurants, bars and bright neon lights. The few trawlers remaining have been relegated to a secondary status on the creek. This image, now a collector's item, was shot in 1968, well before commercialism drastically altered this once cherished and iconic coastal scene forever.
